自分の研究論文と学生プロジェクトの関連で有人宇宙船の設計に関する情報収集をしていて面白い新刊を見つけました。2015年の発刊で、昨日、第一版を入手しました。イギリスにあるELSEVERの関連会社の出版ですが、Amazonジャパンで購入したものは日本で印刷されています。

最初、ネット上のなか身検索で見つけ、有人深宇宙探査の安全性評価のところに興味を持ち購入しました。印刷版はネット版とかなり違います。Amazonに出ている章立ても実際とはかなり違いました。正確には下記に示したような章立てです。

有人宇宙機の検討には、20年ぐらい前に出版され、よくまとまっている文献があります。しかし情報が古くなっていることが欠点でした。この本には、過去から現在までの宇宙ミッションのデータを用いて、設計理論がまとめられています。アポロ計画やスペースシャトル計画だけではなく、最近のオライオンやドリームチェイサーなどについての記述もあります。

今回特に興味を持った11章には、国際宇宙ステーションへの往復飛行や、熱核ロケットを用いた火星への有人往復飛行のシステム安全性や信頼性解析の方法が記されています。
